June 13, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of 2024, foreign direct investments in the amount of $1.5 bn were raised to the Azerbaijani economy.

Top 3 of countries that invest the most in Azerbaijan’s economy consists of the UK, Türkiye and Cyprus, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank.

However, there was a decrease on investments from these countries to Azerbaijan.

And if to look at other countries, the UAE is attracting attention with an increase in investment volumes.

The richest oil country UAE invested $190.686 million in the economy of Azerbaijan in the 1st quarter of 2024.

This figure is 3.5-fold more against Q1 of 2023, that is, $136.343 million.

In the 1st quarter of 2023, UAE's investments in our country amounted to $54.343 million.
