June 20, Fineko/abc.az. In 2023, the consumption of meat and meat products per capita in Azerbaijan amounted to 43.5 kg, and milk and dairy products - 258.8 kg.

In 2023, every citizen of the country consumed an average of 189 eggs, 8 kg of fish and fish products, 83.9 kg of potatoes, 139.3 kg of vegetables, 35.8 kg of melons, 70.1 kg of fruits and berries, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

Per capita consumption of grapes during the year was 18.5 kg, consumption of tea 1.3 kg, legumes - 3 kg, rice 6.4 kg, confectionery 14.2 kg, sugar 27.5 kg, butter 3.9 kg, vegetable oil 8.2 kg, cheese 6.1 kg, fresh bread 117.7 kg, cereals 2 kg, and consumption salt - 5.8 kg.
