June 20, Fineko/abc.az. As of January 1, 2024, the number of civil servants in the country reached 27,100 people, and 29.7% of them were women.
7.3% of civil servants worked in state bodies in the highest – 3rd classification of administrative positions, 3.8% - in the 4th, 11.7% - in the 5th, 7.9% - in the 6th, 46.6% - in the 7th and 22.7% - in auxiliary positions of the civil service.
ABC.AZ reports that according to the State Statistics Committee, 4.6% of civil servants have work experience of up to 1 year, 25.4% - from 1 to 5 years, 22.5% - from 5 to 10 years, 19.3% - from 10 to 15 years and 28.2% - from 15 years or more.
2.5% of government employees are under the age of 25, 13.7% aged 25-29, 17.8% aged 30-34, 15.9% aged 35-39, 12.5% aged 40-44, 9.4% aged 45-49, 7.7% aged 50-54, 9.1% aged 55-59 and 9.7% are aged 60-64 years, and 1.7% are people aged 65 years and older.
The average monthly nominal salary of civil servants in 2023 increased by 8.3% compared with the previous year and amounted to 1,933.3 manats.
