June 27, Fineko/abc.az. On June 27, President Ilham Aliyev received Masatsugu Asakawa, the president of the Asian Development Bank.

ABC.AZ reports that the Azerbaijani leader expressed gratitude to the bank for supporting the development of sectors of the Azerbaijani economy that are important both for our country and for regional cooperation.

The head of state highly appreciated ADB’s unequivocal support in this matter, when European financial institutions faced some financial delays in projects for transportation of Azerbaijan's natural gas.
In this regard, President Aliyev recalled that, as he said earlier, European banks have not demonstrated their willingness to provide financing, while Azerbaijan supplies Europe with gas, but the ADB has done so.
