July 3, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Apr 2024, Azerbaijan imported 3,580 live sheep for $364,500.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that compared with Jan-Apr 2023, the indicator is $1.199 million or 4.3-fold less in value, and in quantitative terms – by 14,372 heads or 5-fold.

Over Jan-Apr 2023, 17,952 heads of sheep for $1.564 million were imported.

For the first 4 months of 2024, the average import price of 1 sheep was $103 (173 manats), which means an increase in price by $15 (25 manats) or 17% in annual comparison.

For the same period in 2023, the average import price of one sheep was $87 (148 manats).
