July 8, Fineko/abc.az. To date, about 10 Chinese companies have applied to open a business in Karabakh region.

ABC.AZ reports that KOBIA chairman of board Orkhan Mammadov said about this at the SCO Demonstration Zone Conference on the Promotion of Logistics and Trade in Azerbaijan, which is taking place in Baku.

He added that  one of the main goals of KOBIA is to support the restoration of the business sector in Karabakh.

"Business projects of local and foreign entrepreneurs who want to establish business in the occupation-liberated territories are being collected from KOBIA. The priority areas here are construction, tourism, mining, transport, agriculture, manufacturing and others. The concepts of "smart city" and "smart village", implemented as part of development of these areas, require the use of innovative solutions. Therefore, we invite Chinese entrepreneurs to be active in this area," Mammadov said.
