Azerbaijan’s Labor Code bans dismissal of workers on these categories

July 9, Fineko/abc.az. The legislation defines a number of categories of employees who in no case can be dismissed, ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the Labor Code.

Article 79 of the Labor Code defines the circumstances in which termination of an employment contract is prohibited.

Thus, it is prohibited to terminate an employment contract with pregnant women, as well as women with a child under 3 years old, men who independently raise a child under three years old; with employees whose only place of earnings is at this enterprise, alone raising a child who has not reached school age; with employees who are temporarily unable to work; employees who which depend on a family member who is a person with a disability established before the age of 18 or with an established disability due to an 81-100% impairment of bodily functions.
