Fish from Lachin is planned to be exported to European markets

July 11, Fineko/abc.az. The Hakari fish farm, located in Lachin, grows more than 100,000 fish of various species.

ABC.AZ reports that farm’s director Fariz Shirinov talks about the plans for the future of the enterprise he heads:

"Now there are more than 100,000 fish here. Our goal is to grow fish and sell it. In addition to fish meat, caviar production is planned in the coming years. At the current stage, we have organized the sale of fish only in Lachin, and in the future it is planned to export it to other regions of Azerbaijan and to European markets. Here, another issue is related to the employment of residents. Currently, 31 residents of Lachin work in this farm, 11 of them are permanent residents."

Fariz Shirinov added that it is planned to increase the number of employees to 60 in the near future.
