July 11, Fineko/abc.az. As of July 1, 2024, the number of active taxpayers in the country has increased up to 778,000.

ABC.AZ reports that the statemernt was made by Azerbaijani Deputy Economy Minister Anar Akhundov during the first National Competition Forum held in Baku.

"In Azerbaijan, the role of entrepreneurship is expanding day by day, and the private sector is becoming the leading force of the economy. Currently, the vast majority of business entities in the country are small and medium-sized enterprises, which make significant contribution to value creation, exports, employment and investments," Akhundov said.
