China's GDP exceeds $8.6 trillion for 1st half of 2024

July 15, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Jun 2024, growth rate of the Chinese economy reached 5%, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Statistical Office of the People's Republic of China.

In 6 months, China's GDP exceeded 61.68 trillion yuans (about $8.64 trillion).

The dynamics of the agricultural sector was at the level of 3.5% (3.06 trillion yuans, or $429 billion), and in industry and services amounted to 5.8% (23.65 trillion yuans, or $3.31 trillion) and 4.6% (34.96 trillion yuans, or $4.9 trillion), respectively.

In the second quarter, the country's GDP growth rate was 4.7%, while for Jan-Mar it reached 5.3%.

According to the Chinese State Council, country's contribution to growth rate of the world economy is about 30%.

According to the statistical office, China’s GDP growth rate in 2022 was 3%, and in 2023 it was 5.2% (126.05 trillion yuans, or about $1.26 trillion).
