July 17, Fineko/abc.az. In 5 months of 2024, Azerbaijan exported 9.91 bcm of natural gas abroad.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that 42% of the exported natural gas was sold to Italy.

While the average export value of each 1,000 cu m of natural gas was $348, Italy bought it at higher import price of $407. Compared with Jan-May 2023, Italy increased natural gas purchases by 24%, ahead of Türkiye, which has been the main buyer for many years.

At the cheapest price, gas was exported to Georgia – $171 per 1,000 cu m.
