July 17, Fineko/abc.az. On the Baku-Guba toll highway, the state border with the Russian Federation, a high-speed lane allows drivers to pass through payment points without reducing speed and stopping. For this, it is enough to have a pre-purchased TEQ (card with a special chip) and a sufficient balance of payments. Special license plate reading cameras, video surveillance cameras, equipment for classifying cars, and other innovative technological equipment conforming to the latest technological standards are installed on the lanes providing non-stop travel.

ABC.AZ reports that the statement was made by Rizvan Mansurov, the head of the Information Technology Department of the Analytical Information Center of the State Agency of Highways of Azerbaijan.

He added that non-stop lanes are available only at the starting and ending points of the toll road, namely at the points of Yashma and Khachmaz.

"Only hybrid crossing lanes have been installed on the sections built at the entrance to the roads connecting the settlements of Gilazi, Siyazan, Gandov and Khachmaz, and to use this form of crossing it is necessary to obtain TEQ at the specified retail outlets. A form of payment via MilliÖN payment terminals will also be available in the near future. The checkpoints for the specified payment are equipped with MilliÖN terminals. At that, this form of payment is available for use by both local and foreign citizens," department’s head stressed.
