July 22, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Jun 2024, 1,231,100 foreigners and stateless persons from 179 countries arrived in Azerbaijan, or 34% more versus the 2023 same term.

ABC.AZ was informed at the State Border Service that 29.2% of the arrivals were from the Russian Federation, 17.3% from Turkey, 9.7% from India, 8.7% from Iran, 4.1% from Georgia, 3.2% from Saudi Arabia, 3.1% from Kazakhstan, 2.5% from Pakistan, 1.7% each - from Uzbekistan and the UAE, 1.4% from Ukraine, by 1.3% each from China, Kuwait and Turkmenistan, 1.1% from Belarus and 12.4% from other countries. Men made up 68.2% of the arrivals, women - 31.8%.

Compared with Jan-Jun 2023, the number of arrivals from India grew 2.5-fold, South Korea – 2.4-fold, China – 2.3-fold, Spain – 1.8-fold, Kazakhstan – 1.8-fold, Saudi Arabia – 1.7-fold, Philippines – 1.6-fold, Kyrgyzstan – 1.6-fold, Oman – 1.6-fold, Iran – 1.5-fold, Pakistan - 47.0%, Tajikistan - 45.8%, Italy - 41.8%, Jordan - 37.6%, Yemen - 37.6%, Kuwait - 37.2%, Turkmenistan - 36.8%, Bahrain - 34.7%, Poland - 34.0%, Egypt - 29.2%, Uzbekistan - 26.9%, USA – 23.6%, Ukraine – 22.2 %, Germany – 22.1%, Türkiye – 21.1%, the Russian Federation – 19.0%, France – 15.7%, Georgia – 13.1%, the UAE – 8.1%.
