July 24, Fineko/abc.az. Russia expects that in the near future, Mir cards will be launched on the territory of Iran and the issue of interfacing the payment systems of the two countries will be fully resolved, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Russian Deputy FM Andrei Rudenko.

Answering the question when it is planned to launch the operation of Mir cards in Iran, Rudenko said that the matter of interfacing national payment systems is being discussed within a special mechanism of the bilateral intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, as well as regular contacts between the heads of central banks.

"We hope that in the near future we will be able to solve all the problems in this area," Rudenko said.
