July 25, Fineko/abc.az. The state oil companies of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Serbia (Serbia Gas) have agreed to expand and extend their cooperation in the field of natural gas supplies, building on the friendly relations between the two governments.
ABC.AZ reports that SOCAR deputy vice president Vitaly Baylarbayov made this statement at the 8th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Serbia Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade & Economic Cooperation in Baku.” “Yesterday's negotiations between SOCAR and Serbia Gas were extremely fruitful and successful. We agreed to expand and extend their cooperation in supplying natural gas to Serbia, as well as broaden collaboration in other areas, including gas transit through the country's territory,” he informed.
Baylarbayov expressed confidence that the partnership with Serbian counterparts in this direction will be long-term.
