July 26, Fineko/abc.az. The sequence of countries on the average nominal wage and on purchasing power parity (PPP) on the CIS area has been published.

ABC.AZ reports that the largest nominal salaries are in Russia ($3,156).

Belarus is in 2nd place - $2,909, and Kazakhstan has almost the same indicator — $2,894.

Parity in this case is when a currency is compared by the number of goods that can be bought with it in each of the countries.

For example, the same amount of goods and services can be bought in Russia and the U.S. for respectively 73,709 rubles and for $3,156.
