July 26, Fineko/abc.az. Italian luxury car manufacturer Ferrari is expanding cryptocurrency payment options for customers of its dealers in Europe.
ABC.AZ reports that according to company's representatives, no commissions or surcharges are charged when paying in cryptocurrencies, and car prices do not change.
The Italian automaker plans to expand the program to other dealers of its international network by the end of 2024 - in countries where cryptocurrencies are legal tender.
In March 2023, Ferrari began accepting payments in bitcoin, Ethereum and USDC for its sports cars at the request of wealthy customers in the U.S. At that time, Ferrari noted that the decision to accept cryptocurrencies was made in response to requests from customers and dealers, many of whom invest in cryptocurrencies.
To reduce the risks associated with the volatility of cryptocurrency prices, Ferrari cooperates with the BitPay payment provider, which instantly converts crypto payments into traditional currency for all Ferrari dealers.
