July 29, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of this year, 572.4 tons of tobacco leaves were collected in Azerbaijan (307.6 tons or 35% less versus Jan-Jun 2023), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

Over Jan-Jun 2023, 880 tons of tobacco leaves were harvested, while for the 2024 same term the idnicator reached 2,360 tons of tobacco.

This means an increase of 2,012 tons, or 6.8-fold, compared with Jan-Jun 2023.

As of July 1, 2024, the volume of products remaining in warehouses grew by 395.7 tons, or 9.6-fold, compared with Jan-Jun 2023, and reached 441.6 tons.
