Microsoft's quarterly profit grew by 10%

July 31, Fineko/abc.az. In the 4th quarter of fiscal year 2024, Microsoft Corp. increased its net profit by 10%, revenue by 15%, while both indicators turned out to be better than expectations of analysts who, however, were disappointed with the results of Azure cloud service.

ABC.AZ informs that according to company's press release, net income in April-June amounted to $22.04 billion, or $2.95 per share, compared with $20.08 billion, or $2.69 per share, for the 2023 same term.

The revenue increased to $64.73 billion from $56.19 billion a year earlier. Excluding changes in exchange rates, the indicator grew by 16%.

Experts surveyed by FactSet, on average, estimated company's profit at $2.94 per share on revenue of $64.38 billion.

Microsoft's stock prices in additional trading on Tuesday fell by 2.8% after publication of the reports.
