August 2, Fineko/abc.az. S&P Global Ratings has published a forecast on economic growth of Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that this forecast is contained in S&P report on Azerbaijan.

Agency's report says that Azerbaijan's economic growth prospects for 2024-2025 are lower than those of most countries in the region.

S&P analysts noted that the pressure on economic growth is mainly linked with a long-term gradual decline in oil production: "We forecast real GDP growth of about 1.5% in 2024-2025."

In June 2024, S&P announced that it had raised the forecast on real GDP growth in Azerbaijan from 1.5% to 2.5%.
