EU to refuse to import fresh fish in order to maintain sanctions against Russia

August 5, Fineko/abc.az. The ban on the import of fresh fish from Russia, which is being discussed in the EU, will deprive European consumers of a quarter of the volume of imported pollock, ABC.AZ reports, referring to Eurostat’s data.

Eurostat informs that in 2022 and 2023, Russia's share in imports of fresh pollock to the EU was 28% and 26%, respectively. At that, according to German newspaper Die Welt, the EU intends to expand the ban on import of Russian seafood to include fresh fish.
