Türkiye plans to launch international tourist train to Iran, Azerbaijan and Georgia

August 26, Fineko/abc.az. Turkish State Railways (TCDD) plans to organize an international tourist train that will run between Iran, Azerbaijan and Georgia, ABC.AZ reports, citing Turkish media.

"If this project is implemented, the trips will start in Türkiye and extend to the cities of these countries. Tourist trains are planned to operate in all months of the year," the report says.

Türkiye is sorting and increasing the number of tourist train lines on railways. TCDD, which contributes to tourism with the Eastern Express, Diyarbakir Express, Western Black Sea Express and Tatvan Express, is preparing to introduce new train routes for travelers. In 2025, it is planned to launch the Konya-Adana-Toros Express, the Adana-Gaziantep Gastronomic Express, the Goller Express and the Ephesus Express. As a result, the number of domestic tourist express lines in Türkiye will be increased to 8.
