West Africa receives €35 million lifeline from European Union

August 26, Fineko/abc.az. The European Union announced an additional €35 million in humanitarian assistance to West Africa, as reported by the EU Delegation to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and Nigeria.

ABC.AZ reports that the West African region continues to grapple with a severe humanitarian crisis, and the aid will help address the needs of the most vulnerable populations, including food, nutrition, health, water, shelter, and protection.

With the additional aid of €35 million euros, the total amount of assistance provided by the EU to West African countries this year has reached €160.6 million.
