August 28, Fineko/abc.az. More than 230 flights were canceled in Japan due to the approaching Typhoon Shanshan. According to weather forecasts, the typhoon is expected to reach the islands of Okinawa Prefecture in the morning and then hit the southwestern island of Kyushu by evening.
ABC.AZ reports that Japan Airlines (JAL) has been the most affected, with 82 domestic flights canceled on August 28 and another 60 on the following day. Additionally, six international flights have been postponed.
All Nippon Airways (ANA) has also announced the cancellation of 80 flights between August 28 and 30, while low-cost carriers Skymark, Solaseed Air, and Peach Aviation have canceled nine flights.
