Kazakhstan restricts apple imports

August 28, Fineko/abc.az. The government of Kazakhstan has introduced a temporary ban on the import of apples by road transport from third countries, except for EAEU countries, until the end of 2024.

ABC.AZ reports that the decision was made at a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on foreign trade policy and participation in international economic organizations, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangaryn.

"The issue of banning the import of apples into Kazakhstan was considered... Following the discussion, a decision was made to introduce a temporary ban on the import of apples into Kazakhstan from third countries by road transport, except for imports from EAEU countries, until the end of the year," the statement from the Kazakh government says.
