August 29, Fineko/abc.az. Employees of the Main Customs Directorate for Air Transport prevented the illegal movement of cigarettes and other goods not marked with an excise stamp across the customs border.

ABC.AZ reports, citing the State Customs Committee (SCC), a customs inspection was carried out on the hand luggage of a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan who arrived on a Moscow-Baku flight.

During the inspection of the citizen's baggage and hand luggage, 27,580 units of cigarettes of 7 brands not marked with an excise stamp of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 2,256 units of medicines of 9 types, and an iPhone 13 Pro mobile phone with 128 GB storage were discovered.

An investigation is being conducted on the matter.
