September 4, Fineko/abc.az. The design of Istisu settlement, located in the western part of Kalbajar district with total area of 63.1 hectares, will be carried out in stages, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Committee for Urban Planning & Architecture.

Committee’s chair Anar Guliyev shared on his social networks the future appearance of Istisu village, the foundation of which was laid on September 2, 2024 during the visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Kalbajar.

At the first stage, the area of the built-up area of the village will be 39.2 hectares. At this stage, it is planned to build 159 private houses. In general, within the project, 71 townhouse-type houses (142 apartments) and 10 buildings consisting of 180 apartments will also be built here in the future.

In addition, all important social facilities and the necessary infrastructure will be created in the village - a school for 352 students, a kindergarten for 100 seats, an administrative building, a sports & wellness center, a medical center, etc.

Istisu village will be developed on the basis of modern standards and will become one of the important regional centers.
