Stadler regional service center in Baku to open in 2026

September 5, Fineko/abc.az. Swiss company Stadler Rail Group, which is building a regional service center on the territory of Beyukshor in Baku, plans to put it into operation in 2026.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Rovshan Rustamov.

He added that a contract has been signed between ADY and Stadler Rail for provision of repair, maintenance and consulting services on railway transport.

"Under the contract, a regional service center is being created on the territory of Boyukshor, whose services can be used not only by Azerbaijan, but also by neighboring countries," Rustamov said.

He noted that the center will carry out repairs and maintenance of all types of Stadler trains. This will ensure the coefficient of technical readiness of vehicles more than by 95%, Rustamov added.

He said that ADY already uses 4 passenger trains received from the company, 3 more are in the country and are preparing to be put on the line, the same number will be delivered to Azerbaijan this year.
