New generation gas processing plants to be constructed in Kazakhstan

September 5, Fineko/abc.az. New generation gas processing plants will be built in Kazakhstan.

ABC.AZ reports that Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov informed about this.

He noted that Kazakhstan has significant reserves of hydrocarbons.

"Proven recoverable oil reserves exceed 4 billion tons, which makes Kazakhstan one of the significant players in the global market. New oil export routes are being opened, including through the Caspian Sea. The volume of oil and gas transit through our country is increasing. Kazakhstan's KEBCO oil brand has been launched, work is underway to increase the resource base, increase the investment attractiveness of exploration, increase production, and implement new projects," the PM said.

Gas production by the end of 2023 totaled 59.1 bcm, and the forecast for 2024 — 60.5 bcm.
