Chinese banks impose restrictions on Russian business partners

September 9, Fineko/abc.az. Some Chinese banks have imposed territorial restrictions on opening of accounts for local suppliers who work with Russian importers. ABC.AZ reports that they do not allow the Chinese to open accounts if the supplier tries to do so outside the province in which he conducts his main business.

The problem of settlements between Russia and China will persist and become more complicated, as the countries are not looking for new approaches to solve it, but use the remaining loopholes to make payments with each other under the constant whip of secondary U.S. sanctions, Ivan Tikhonenok, head of the group for work with banks at Amond & Smith law firm, fears.
