September 10, Fineko/abc.az. Brazil, the second country in the world in terms of average daily Internet usage, has suspended the work of Elon Musk's social network X (formerly Twitter).

ABC.AZ reports that now Brazilians — individuals and legal entities — will pay a daily fine of 50,000 reals ($8,900) for illegal use of virtual private networks or VPNs to access X.

The board of the country's Supreme Court, which voted for this measure, unanimously confirmed the decision to block the platform for Elon Musk's refusal to appoint a legal representative of the company in Brazil, as required by law.
