September 10, Fineko/abc.az. According to the State Program of socio-economic development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic 2023-2027, the agropark to be created in accordance with modern standards will further accelerate development of agriculture in the NAR. Currently, finishing works are underway on the design of intra-industry communications of the industrial zone of the agropark, pivots and modern irrigation systems. After the completion of work in these areas, or rather, by the end of September, the design process of the agropark will be fully completed.

ABC.AZ reports that agropark’s project manager and architect Murad Ahmadli stated about this.

He said: "In accordance with the project, it is planned to create livestock and poultry farms in the agropark, including processing enterprises for the production of meat, milk and crop production. In addition, logistics centers, laboratories, a technopark, a parking lot and the construction of several auxiliary buildings were involved in the project. As part of the project, it is planned to install support, drip and rain irrigation systems, as well as create an artificial lake to improve water supply. Fertilizer production will also be carried out in the agropark."

More than 2,000 hectares were allocated for the creation of an agropark in the Boyukduz massif of Kengerli district. Last year, the NAR Ministry of Agriculture announced a tender procedure for purchase of services on preparation of design estimates on improvement of Orqanik Naxçıvan’s actviities and construction of primary infrastructure of the agro cluster, and a contract was signed between the winner company and the Ministry.
