September 11, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of this year, Azerbaijan reduced imports of premium gasoline (AI-95) by 14%.

ABC.AZ informs that in the first 6 months of this year, gas stations bought 33,980 tons of premium gasoline with octane rating of 05. In the 1st half of last year, this figure was 39,390 tons.

The cost of imported gasoline this year was 7% higher than a year earlier. For example, if Azerbaijan spent $932 per ton of gasoline last year, this year this figure reached $997.

Most of the premium gasoline is purchased in Russia. For example, 12,780 tons of gasoline were purchased from Russia this year.

The production of AI-95 gasoline, which meets Euro-5 standard, begins at SOCAR's Heydar Aliyev Refinery. The cost of 1 liter of domestic gasoline AI-95, which corresponds to Euro-5 quality indicators, has decreased by 0.40 manats to 1.60 manats since July 15, in accordance with market conditions.
