September 11, Fineko/abc.az. According to preliminary estimates, foreign direct investments in the Georgian economy in the 2nd quarter of this year amounted to $574.3 million, an increase of 10.3% against April-June 2023, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the National Statistical Service of Georgia.
Growth was mainly linked with capital and debt obligations. During this period, reinvestments decreased by 8.9% to $451.3 million.
Azerbaijan ranks 4th among the countries investing in the Georgian economy after the UK, Japan and Malta.
