September 13, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Jul 2024, 8,437 tons of watermelons for $4.18 million were exported from Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that watermelon exports declined by $400,000 or 9% in value terms and by 1,298 tons or 13.3% in quantitative terms against Jan-Jul 2023.

In 7 months of 2023, Azerbaijan exported 9,735 tons of watermelons for $4.418 million.

For 7 months of 2024, the average export price of 1 kg of watermelon was 0.81 manats, which is 0.04 manats more or 5% higher compared with last year.

Over Jan-Jul 2023, the price of 1 kg of watermelon was 0.77 manats.
