In Russia, video cards for mining become a popular subject for collateral

September 16, Fineko/abc.az. Russians have become more likely to pawn video cards for mining cryptocurrencies secured by loans, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Federal Notary Chamber (FNC) of Russia.

In 5 years, the number of entries about these devices in the register of movable property has doubled — 1,600. Over the year, the increase was 13%.

The FNC database also received 15,400 notices of deposits with the word "robot": 17% more in a year, and since 2019 the indicator has increased 2.4-fold.

Cars and other vehicles remain the most popular collateral for Russians. At the beginning of September, they account for more than half of the records — 11.6 million out of 20.3 million.
