Online payment company establishes a subsidiary in Azerbaijan

September 17, Fineko/abc.az. Online payment company GuavaPay Limited, founded in the UK by businessmen of Azerbaijani origin, has founded a new subsidiary in our country and is awaiting a license from the regulator.

ABC.AZ reports that the Main Department of Local Revenues of the Baku City State Tax Service has established GuavaPay LLC. When established in April, the company was created with authorized capital of 750,000 manats, which meets Central Bank of Azerbaijan’s e-money requirements for organizations.

The company was founded at address: 232, Ahmad Rajabli Street, Narimanov district, Baku. The director is Fakhri Gasimov.

GuavaPay was set up in the UK in 2017. When the company was established, its voting share was transferred to Turkish citizen Ulviya Nasibova, and from 2018 to the end of 2023 to Orhan Nasibov. Subsequently, company's share was transferred to Tainotech Holding Limited, in which Nasibov is a shareholder.

Since 2023, the payment system market has been controlled by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
