Pashinyan: Armenia freezes its participation in CSTO, as this organization has created threats to sovereignty of his country

September 18, Fineko/abc.az. Pashinyan stated that the CSTO poses threats to the security, existence and sovereignty of Armenia.

"We’ve frozen our membership in the CSTO not only because the CSTO does not fulfill its obligations to ensure Armenia's security, but also because the CSTO poses threats to Armenia's security, its continued existence, sovereignty and statehood," he said during his speech at the Pan-Armenian Forum.

He added that Yerevan does not intend to sever economic ties with Russia and the EAEU.

"If the Armenian authorities see the right moment to join the EU, they will not miss it," he added.
