September 19, Fineko/abc.az. A bill has been submitted to the Czech Parliament, that will allow Russians to be denied citizenship if they do not give up their Russian passport.

ABC.AZ reports that as a justification, the position was voiced that Russian citizens pose a threat to national security.

"We don't need nested dolls here. We don’t want Russians to abuse dual citizenship in favor of Russia," local MP Martin Exner said.

The Russian Diaspora, which permanently resides in the Czech Republic, has already called the amendment discriminatory, noting that the bill is not supported by any evidence that Russian citizens who have a residence permit in the Czech Republic pose a security threat.
