September 20, Fineko/abc.az. Shirvan Oil Processing Plant, the largest producer of cottonseed oil in Azerbaijan, intends to bring its products to foreign markets for the first time as a raw material for the production of biofuels.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Melek Mammadova, head of the Sales Department at MKT IK LLC.

According to Mammadova, cottonseed oil was exported to Georgia for use in the production of biofuels. Georgia wants to process the oil obtained from Azerbaijan as a raw material for biofuels and bring it to the international market: "Cottonseed oil is little used as a food product. Therefore, we want to process excess cottonseed oil into raw materials for biofuels and export it directly to foreign markets."
