HÜRKUŞ planes to be delivered to Azerbaijan

September 24, Fineko/abc.az. The first stage of the project of upgrade of Su-25 aircrafts, belonging to the Azerbaijani Air Force has been completed, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Mehmet Demiroglu, CEO at TÜSAŞ.

He noted that work on modernization of most aircrafts will be carried out in Baku, and the process of one aircraft will be carried out in Ankara:

"This project is important both for the defense industry and for the ecosystem of Azerbaijan. At the next stage, we will deliver HÜRKUŞ aircrafts to Azerbaijan for training purposes. At that, it is planned to involve Azerbaijani military pilots in training in Ankara. Work in this direction continues successfully, and it will be fully completed in the coming months. Negotiations on the supply of fifth-generation Kaan aircraft to Azerbaijan are ongoing. This project is at an initial stage, so it is difficult to say anything specifically about it. The project is to continue until 2030."
