Salaries in Azerbaijan have increased against 4 years earlier

September 25, Fineko/abc.az. The average monthly nominal salary registered in Azerbaijan in the 1st half of this year increased by 41.7% or 295.1 manats compared with 2020. The average monthly nominal salary in the country in 2023 reached 933.8 manats (11.2% or 94.4 manats more than in 2022).

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the analysis conducted by the Center for Media Analysis based on official data published by the State Statistics Committee. In the 1st half of this year, the average monthly nominal salary in the country increased by 8.8% or 80.9 manats compared with the 2023 same term and reached 1,002.8 manats. And in the first half of last year, this amount was 921.9 manats.

In the 1st half of 2024, the highest average monthly nominal salary in the country was recorded in the city of Khankendi (1,309 manats). Baku took the 2nd place with 1,268.7 manats. Dashkesan district is in 3rd place with 1074.1 manats. This indicates that the regions that took the first three places have higher result than the average monthly nominal salary (1,002.8 manats) registered in the country.

Compared wityh Q1 of 2023, the largest increase (in total) in average monthly wages in the 1st quarter of this year was recorded in Dashkesan district (17.4% or 159.3 manats). The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic took the 2nd place with a rise of 119.7 manats (18.2). Baku recorded an increase of 91.4 manats (7.8%) and took 5th place in this indicator.
