As a member of the UN Global Compact and committed to corporate social responsibility, Nar was represented at the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit in New York. The company’s participation underscores its commitment to sustainable development and responsible business practices.

Held in the lead-up to COP29, an event of significant importance for our country, the summit provided a critical platform for discussing the private sector’s role in addressing global climate change and sustainability challenges. Nar gained valuable insights into the execution of its ESG strategy and identified opportunities to expand its sustainability initiatives in the future.

Hokuma Karimova, Director of Public Relations and Corporate Communications at Nar, participated with the speech on inclusivity and social responsibility, noting: “As a socially responsible company, we implement projects aimed at supporting the integration of individuals with disabilities into society and the workforce. This contributes to both equality and inclusivity, while fostering the development of diverse segments within the community. Our participation in the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit strengthens our efforts in this direction”.

It is also worth noting that Nar, as the first local telecommunications company to join the UN Global Compact, forged new partnerships during the event and gained key insights into the latest trends in corporate sustainability.
