Central Bank fines financial participants for 135,000 manats

October 1, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of this year, fines were imposed on participants in the financial sector as part of verification and control measures. Thus, during the specified period, a fine of 135,000 manats was imposed against financial participants.

ABC.AZ reports that CBA general director Shahin Mahmudzadeh said about this at a press conference on the financial stability report for the 1st half of 2024.

He explained the main reason for the fines as follows: "The fines are related to deficiencies in accountability and business strategy.

During this period, 37 licenses were cancelled, most of which were related to insurance agencies."
