October 2, Fineko/abc.az. At the initiative of the Ministry of Science & Education, monthly remuneration in the amount of up to 1,000 manats has been started for scientists working in research institutes.

ABC.AZ reports that these finances are paid to researchers with higher scientific performance in scientific institutions subordinate to the Ministry.

This step is aimed at improving the material well-being of scientists and stimulating their scientific activities.

Remuneration is also intended as an important tool to increase the number of articles published in international journals with an impact factor.

The remuneration process is based on the "Methodology for calculating the author's score of authors of scientific papers" developed by the State Agency for Science & Higher Education. This methodology is based on scientometric indicators covering 2018-2023, and during this period, the indicators of 500 authors who published the largest number of scientific papers were analyzed in the Scopus database.
