A fuel labeling system launched in Kyrgyzstan

October 2, Fineko/abc.az. Kyrgyzstan has officially launched a fuel labeling system, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Tax Service.

Mandatory labeling of gasoline and diesel fuel has been introduced since yesterday. It is necessary to label both imported and manufactured fuels and lubricants in the republic using molecular markers.

"From 2025, the sale of unmarked gasoline and diesel fuel will be prohibited. The molecular marker penetrates into the structure of the fuel and is not susceptible to leaching. The introduction of this system will make it possible to effectively combat the illegal turnover of fuels and lubricants, smuggling and improve the quality of fuel on the market," the Service says.
