October 8, Fineko/abc.az. France's Orano stated that company's long-delayed uranium production project in Mongolia could begin its nuclear fuel production activities by 2030.

ABC.AZ reports that currently, the signing of an investment agreement is required to start commercial operation of the Zuuvch Oovoo mine, said Olivier Tumir, representative of Orano in Mongolia. A vote on it in the Mongolian parliament may take place during the current legislative session.

Global demand for uranium is recovering due to development of nuclear energy in China, as well as the renaissance of the nuclear industry in Europe and the Asia-Pacific countries.
