October 11, Fineko/abc.az. At the Tesla presentation in California, Elon Musk presented several innovative products, including the new robotaxi (Cybercab) and the Optimus robot.
ABC.AZ reports that Cybercab is a specially designed autonomous vehicle that does not have a steering wheel and pedals. The futuristic design includes upward-opening doors and a cabin designed for only two passengers. The car will be charged inductively, without the need to connect to the mains.
Musk stated that autonomous cars will be 10-20 times safer than those driven by humans. The launch of fully autonomous driving is scheduled for next year in Texas and California, and Cybercab production is expected by 2026. Cars will appear on the market no earlier than 2027.
The businessman compared Tesla's latest development to an elevator operating on the principle of "pressed a button and forgot".
"We wanted to change the appearance of the roads. The future should look like the future," he said.
In addition, Musk showed a new generation of Optimus, which will cost from $20,000 up to $30,000.
