October 15, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Energy has developed Petrochemical Industry Roadmap 2024-30. The roadmap includes the stages from provision of raw materials to the release of final products.
ABC.AZ reports that the purpose of the document is to develop the petrochemical industry and promote implementation of projects in this area.
Among the results that Kazakhstan wants to achieve, the Ministry calls a multiple increase in production volumes - from 357,800 tons (2023) up to 1.8 million tons (2030).
In addition, all new petrochemical projects are to provide the necessary raw materials, prepare infrastructure in the special economic zone National Industrial Petrochemical Technopark in Atyrau region. And also - to implement six projects with investments in the amount of $14.7 billion, and during the implementation to create 16,000 temporary and 3,500 permanent jobs.
