Azerbaijan registered decline in compulsory real estate insurance by 42%

Compulsory property insurance has decreased much in Azerbaijan.

The Compulsory Insurers Bureau reports that 10,929 agreements on compulsory property insurance were concluded in October.

"Premiums on compulsory insurance of real estate totaled AZN 2.207 million," the CIB said.

The Bureau points out that the number of policies on compulsory real estate insurance declined by 42% compared to the 2016 same term and premiums grew by 25%.

"Also, last month, 352 agreements were signed on compulsory insurance of civil liability for the use of real property for AZN 20,790 and two agreements on compulsory insurance of passengers for AZN 930," the CIB said.
